Professor Badr El-Din was appointed to the position of Acting CEO of “Al-Ebdaa” Microfinance Company

The Board of Directors of the Ebdaa Bahrain Microfinance Company announced the appointment of Professor Badr Al-Din Abdul Rahim Ibrahim to the position of Acting CEO of the company.

The Chairperson of the Board of Directors, Mrs. Mona Youssef Al-Moayyed, welcomed Professor Badr Al-Din, stressing that this decision comes at an important stage in the company’s journey, in view of his strategic vision and deep leadership and practical experience, capable of keeping pace with the accelerating challenges in the finance sector, and building innovative business models that ensure sustainability and enhance the company’s positive impact on society, expressing the Board’s confidence in the ability of the Acting CEO to lead the next stage with a team spirit, and to establish a culture of excellence, leadership, and governance in line with the company’s objectives. And her message.

She added that the Board of Directors will continue to work side by side with the Executive Management to achieve the plans set by the Board, develop products and services to meet market needs, expand the scope of partnerships, and enhance the company’s competitiveness locally and regionally, wishing the Acting CEO success in his duties in his new position.

For his part, Professor Badr El-Din expressed his pride in the confidence of the Board of Directors, and stressed that it represents a great incentive for him to continue building on the achievements achieved during the company’s busy journey. He expressed his aspirations to work with the company’s work team in a one-team spirit, to ensure the achievement of the company’s goals that place customers at the heart of priorities, and seeks to innovate flexible and responsible financing solutions that contribute to supporting the business environment and its sustainability.

It is noteworthy that Professor Badr El-Din is an economist who holds a bachelor’s degree in economics with honors from the University of Khartoum, and master’s and doctoral degrees from the University of Manchester in the United Kingdom. He previously held several prominent leadership positions, including Governor of the Central Bank of Sudan, Director of the Arab Open University in Bahrain, in addition to the position of Dean of the Modern College of Commerce and Science in Oman, and Economic Advisor to the Omani Ministry of Finance. His experience also extends to leading committees and boards of directors of microfinance institutions and banks in a number of Arab and African countries.
