42 Salqa qualified to the finals of the 19th Salqa Championship in Al Marmoum

Dubai, 5 April / WAM / The qualifying rounds for the nineteenth edition of the Saluki Championship, organized by the Fazza Championships Department at the Hamdan Bin Mohammed Center for Heritage Revival, concluded today (Sunday) on the Al Marmoom tracks, amid a highly competitive atmosphere that witnessed a noticeable increase in the level of performance and competitiveness.
The qualifiers, which were held over two days, resulted in the first-place finishers qualifying in 16 rounds for the amateur, owners and professional categories, completing the group of finalists with the arrival of 42 races that will compete for the titles at the conclusion of the tournament scheduled for April 12th.
The qualifying rounds witnessed wide participation from various emirates of the country, in addition to a remarkable Gulf presence, which reflects the championship’s status as one of the most prominent parboiled championships in the region and confirms its ability to attract elite participants within an organized competitive environment.
Rashid Hareb Al-Khasouni, Director of the Fazza Championships Department at the Hamdan Bin Mohammed Center for Heritage Revival, confirmed that the numbers recorded in the qualifying rounds, whether in terms of the number of participants or the strength of the results, reflect the high level of preparedness among the contestants, indicating that these indicators enhance expectations of strong competitions in the final stage.
He said that the Saluki Championship has established itself as one of the strongest championships in this sport in the region due to its integrated organization and advanced technical level, stressing that the closeness in results witnessed in the qualifiers reflects a clear development in the level of preparation and training.
For his part, Hamad Al Shamsi, one of the finalists, expressed his happiness at qualifying, stressing that the tournament is an important platform for fans of this sport due to the high level of competition it provides and an organization that reflects its status at the state and regional levels.
