"Basma Emirates for Chronic Diseases" Launches an initiative to raise awareness about childhood diabetes
Ras Al Khaimah, April 5 / WAM / The Emirates Basma Society for Chronic Diseases in Ras Al Khaimah organized a workshop dedicated to new children with diabetes under the slogan “Smile Heroes” as part of its efforts to promote health awareness and support patients and their families.
The initiative aimed to provide children and their parents with basic knowledge about how to live with diabetes.
The event included interactive and educational activities in a simplified manner suitable for children. The workshop was attended by Mahra Mohammed bin Saray, Chairman of the Board of Directors, a number of officials and volunteers, as well as a number of children and their families.
Mahra Muhammad Bin Saray confirmed that this initiative comes out of the association’s keenness to empower children with diabetes and their families, noting that early awareness contributes greatly to improving the child’s quality of life and enhancing his self-confidence.
