Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak honors outstanding female graduates from higher education institutions

Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, “Mother of the Emirates”, President of the General Women’s Union, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation, honored distinguished female graduates from the United Arab Emirates University (Batch 45), Zayed University (Batch 24), and the Higher Colleges of Technology (Batch 35), who received a distinction degree with honors.

On this occasion, Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak said, “The development I am witnessing in the number of female graduates from the United Arab Emirates University, Zayed University, and the Higher Colleges of Technology is evidence of the constructive efforts made by our wise leadership to enhance the status of education and improve the quality of its outcomes. What we see in this group of female graduates achieving advanced levels of excellence is a source of pride for Emirati women who invest science and knowledge in developing their capabilities to contribute to building their society.” And achieve its development goals.

Her Highness added: “I congratulate this distinguished graduation, and I call on you to continue the path of excellence in serving the nation and elevating its status, bearing the responsibility of building generations and preparing them in accordance with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, which sees building the family and working to stabilize it as a national duty. Hence, your academic excellence is a wonderful achievement that contributes to realizing your professional aspirations, and investing your abilities in building the nation. Building the family remains… And society, and preserving the values, culture and authenticity of the United Arab Emirates, and instilling them while preparing and raising the future generation, is a higher goal. For his part, Dr. Abdul Rahman bin Abdul Manan Al Awar, Minister of Human Resources and Emiratisation, and Acting Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, appreciated the generous initiative of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, “Mother of the Emirates”, to honor outstanding female graduates in federal higher education institutions in the country, stressing that this authentic approach reflects Her Highness’s constant keenness to support the process of educating and empowering Emirati women, and enhancing their role in supporting the national development process.

He congratulated the outstanding female graduates of the United Arab Emirates University, Zayed University, and the Higher Colleges of Technology on this achievement, which reflects the ambition and determination of excellence possessed by the daughter of the Emirates, pointing out that this honor represents a badge of pride for the female graduates, and an incentive for them to continue the path of education and work, and to move forward in employing their knowledge and experience in serving the nation and actively participating in shaping its future.

Al Awar stressed that the distinguished presence of Emirati women in the higher education system comes as a result of the continuous support given by the wise leadership to empower Emirati women, as the percentage of female Emirati graduates in higher education institutions in the country reached approximately 66% of the Emirati students, which reflects the growing presence of Emirati women in various scientific and academic specializations, and 20% in the specializations of business administration, marketing, and related fields, followed by engineering specializations and related fields at a rate of (14%), then health specializations and related programs. It has an average of (13%), while the percentage of female students in computer science, information technology and related fields reached (12%).

He pointed out that this scientific excellence is clearly reflected in the contribution of Emirati women in various vital sectors, as they occupy 91% of the health jobs held by citizens in the private sector, and female citizens in the youth category (35 years and under) constitute 71% of the total number of Emirati women working in the private sector, and the percentage of female citizens in leadership positions out of the total number of citizens working in leadership positions in the private sector reached 55%, which reflects the growing role of women in supporting the process of economic and social development.

He stressed that the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, with the support and guidance of the wise leadership, continues to develop the higher education system in a way that enhances the quality of its outputs and contributes to the preparation of qualified national competencies with the sciences and skills of the future, to enhance the country’s competitiveness and consolidate its global position as a center of excellence and innovation.

For his part, Zaki Anwar Nusseibeh, Cultural Advisor to His Highness the President of the State, Supreme President of the United Arab Emirates University, stressed that the generous patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, “Mother of the Emirates,” for this national event represents an extension of Her Highness’s established approach to supporting women’s education and empowerment, and consolidating women’s presence in the comprehensive development process.

He explained that Her Highness’s initiatives over the decades formed a fundamental pillar in building an integrated system that enhances the status of Emirati women in various fields of knowledge and giving, and that honoring outstanding women reflects a deep belief in the importance of investing in national competencies and enabling them to contribute effectively to the future of the country.

He pointed out that the female graduates of the United Arab Emirates University who received distinction with honors represent an honorable model for a generation of scientific competencies prepared by the university in accordance with the highest academic and research standards, stressing that this distinction is the result of an educational environment based on scientific discipline, solid research, and building a conscious leadership personality.

In turn, Shamma bint Suhail Al Mazrouei, Minister of Community Empowerment and Chairwoman of the Board of Trustees of Zayed University, appreciated the patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, “Mother of the Emirates,” for the graduation celebrations of the forty-fifth batch from the United Arab Emirates University, the twenty-fourth batch from Zayed University, and the thirty-fifth batch from the Higher Colleges of Technology, stressing that Her Highness’s continued support for education and women’s empowerment reflects a firm belief in the role of humans in creating the future.

She added that graduation is not the end, but rather the beginning of a new phase of responsibility and giving. Today, with the knowledge, knowledge and skills you possess, you are called upon to contribute actively to the comprehensive development process that our country is witnessing, and to translate what you have gained into initiatives and achievements that enhance the nation’s competitiveness and consolidate its leadership.

He explained that Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak’s honoring of female graduates who achieved distinction at the level of government higher education institutions embodies deserved appreciation for honorable models of the nation’s daughters, and constitutes a badge of pride for them and an incentive to continue their scientific and professional careers with confidence and responsibility, in a way that contributes to supporting the development process and enhancing the UAE’s competitiveness in the fields of knowledge and innovation.

He pointed out that the Higher Colleges of Technology continue their commitment to preparing a generation of qualified national competencies according to the highest academic and professional standards, thus enhancing their readiness to keep pace with the rapid transformations in the labor market and deal with the challenges of the future with flexibility and innovation.

He congratulated the graduates and their families on this achievement, stressing that their academic excellence reflects the UAE’s interest in investing in education and human building. He called on the graduates to continue developing their skills and knowledge to keep pace with scientific and technological developments, so that they will always remain in positions of excellence and effective contribution to serving the nation.

The student Sheikha Amna Abdulaziz Humaid Rashid Al Nuaimi from Zayed University extended her sincere thanks and appreciation to the wise leadership and said that in the presence of giving, the name of Her Highness “Mother of the Emirates” must be mentioned, who was and still is the pillar of women’s empowerment, a supporter of her path in education and work, and a role model in patience, effort and achievement. Student Al-Yazia Muhammad Khalfan Khadiya Al-Rumaithi from Zayed University said that the support I received in my educational career, and the success I achieved in my studies, is the result of the wise vision of Her Highness “Mother of the Emirates” in supporting women’s education and empowerment in the UAE.

For her part, the student Sheikha Mohammed Saeed Gavan Al Jabri from the Emirates University said: I received Your Highness’s generous message and it was a source of great happiness and pride for me. I felt with her a mother’s tenderness and support from which we draw strength and determination. Your kind words represent a motivation for me and the daughters of the nation to continue excellence and strive towards achieving the best.

Student Reed Ali Barshaid Al Dhaheri from the UAE University added: I write these words to express my deep thanks and gratitude for the continuous giving and support provided by Her Highness, the “Mother of the Emirates”, which had a great impact on our educational journey.
