The Sheikh of Al-Azhar condemns the Iranian attacks and affirms support for the security and stability of the Gulf states

The Sheikh of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, confirmed today, Monday, Al-Azhar Al-Sharif’s condemnation of the Iranian attacks on the Gulf states, Jordan and Iraq, which target civilian facilities and endanger the lives of civilians.

This came in a meeting between the Ambassador of the State of Kuwait to Egypt, Ghanem Al-Ghanem, and the Sheikh of Al-Azhar, during which they discussed enhancing joint cooperation.

Ambassador Al-Ghanem said in a statement to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) after the meeting that Al-Tayeb stressed during the meeting the necessity of preserving the security and stability of peoples and enhancing security and stability in the region.

He added that the Sheikh of Al-Azhar also stressed the depth of the fraternal relations between Egypt and Al-Azhar Al-Sharif with the State of Kuwait, praising the development it is witnessing in various fields.

For his part, the Ambassador of the State of Kuwait to Egypt praised the role of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif in spreading the true religion, consolidating the values ​​of centrism and moderation, and promoting the culture of world peace and human brotherhood.

He stressed the State of Kuwait’s keenness to enhance cooperation with Al-Azhar Al-Sharif and to benefit from its scientific standing and moderate approach in a way that contributes to consolidating the values ​​of coexistence and peace and confronting the challenges witnessed in the region.
