Al Ain and Baniyas qualify for the final of the President’s Volleyball Cup
Dubai, April 7, 2017 – The Al Ain and Baniyas teams qualified for the final of the His Highness the President of the State Volleyball Cup, after their victory over Al Jazira and Hatta in the two semi-final matches that were held today on neutral courts.
In the first match, which was held at Al Wasl Club Hall in Dubai, Al Ain defeated Al Jazira in three games to no return, 25-20, 25-21, and 25-22.
In the second match, which was held in the Al Ain Club hall, Baniyas defeated Hatta with the same score (3-0), and the matches were 25-17, 25-21, and 25-16.
The two teams are scheduled to meet in the final match on Friday, April 17, at Al Ain Club Hall.
The Emirates Volleyball Federation announced that the second stage of the Club Super Cup competition will be held in a combined tournament system, from April 10 to 12 at the Al-Nasr Club Hall in Dubai.
This stage witnesses the participation of 4 teams: Al-Nasr, Baniyas, Al-Jazira and Al-Ain, after qualifying from the first stage in which 8 clubs participated.
Competitions are held in a single-round league system, with the title being crowned by the team at the top of the overall standings at the end of the round.
