Literary Jeddah launches “Reading the Text”.. Honoring “Quds” and evoking the memory of the Saudi narrative

Inaugurated Jeddah Literary Club Activities of the Text Reading Forum in its twenty-second session, amidst a massive cultural presence, crowning the storyteller Muhammad Ali Quds’ career with a historic honor for his contributions to enriching the Saudi library.

The president of the association, Dr. Abdullah Al-Sulami, opened the sessions with a speech, during which he emphasized the continuity of giving and methodological generosity that shaped the identity of the forum over twenty-two years.

Al-Sulami explained that this ancient forum “A mantle of renewal in the spirit of history,” stressing that the celebration represents an explicit recognition of the symbols of Saudi literature and their distinguished intellectual and narrative production.

The president of the association described the honored personality with “holiness of purity and purity” and elegance in appearance and experience, noting “Quds”’s close association with the club since his youth and his return to its board of directors with a determination that awakens the cultural movement.

He considered that the honor establishes a well-deserved connection. historically for his administrative and creative efforts, indicating that his career provides a model for the dedicated intellectual who documented the features of the Saudi story through biographies and important short story collections.

For his part, Dr. Abdullah Dahlan, in a speech to the supporters on behalf of the University of Business and Technology, pointed to the deep belief of educational institutions in the necessity of serving society and its non-profit institutions.

Dahlan explained that care comes to monitoring Advanced literary activity and keeping pace with the major transformations of “Vision 2030”, praising the radical role of the Ministry of Culture in stimulating creative activities and building a generation that is proud of its identity and heritage.

The honored storyteller Muhammad Ali Quds touched on the memories of the founding of the Literary Club in Jeddah in 1975 AD, recalling his great influence by the generation of pioneers and their guidance that refined his career over the past decades.

The ceremony witnessed the holding of A scientific symposium titled “Guardian of the Story and Guardian of the Details,” moderated by Khaled Al-Yousef, with the participation of an elite group of academics and critics to dissect the creative experience of the celebrated person.

The activities concluded with researchers reviewing Quds’ contributions to guarding the local narrative, and crowning the distinguished supporters Saeed Al-Anqari and Dr. Abdullah Dahlan in appreciation of their prominent role in the success of this cultural forum.
