The UAE air defenses dealt with 17 ballistic missiles and 35 drones

Abu Dhabi, April 8, 2026: The Ministry of Defense announced that on April 8, 2026, the UAE’s air defenses dealt with 17 ballistic missiles and 35 drones coming from Iran.
Since the start of the blatant Iranian attacks, the UAE air defenses have dealt with 537 ballistic missiles, 26 cruise missiles, and 2,256 drones.
These attacks resulted in 3 minor injuries, bringing the total number of cases to 224, of multiple nationalities including: Emirati, Egyptian, Sudanese, Ethiopian, Filipino, Pakistani, Iranian, Indian, Bengali, Sri Lankan, Azerbaijani, Yemeni, Ugandan, Eritrean, Lebanese, Afghan, Bahraini, Comoros, and Turkish. Iraqi, Nepalese, Nigerian, Omani, Jordanian, Palestinian, Ghanaian, Indonesian, Swedish, Tunisian, Moroccan, and Russian.
No cases of martyrdom or deaths were recorded during the past hours. Since the start of the blatant Iranian attacks, the total number of martyrs has reached two martyrs, in addition to the martyrdom of a civilian of Moroccan nationality contracting with the armed forces, while the total number of deaths has reached 10 civilians of the nationalities: Pakistani, Nepalese, Bangladeshi, Palestinian, Indian, and Egyptian.
