Federal National Education Affairs approves its work plan

The Education, Culture, Youth, Sports and Media Affairs Committee of the Federal National Council, during its meeting held today, at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the Council in Dubai, headed by Dr. Adnan Hamad Al Hammadi, Chairman of the Committee, approved its work plan to study the subject of the government’s policy regarding the quality of life of people of determination and their integration into education and work, and to report recommendations on the subject of policies and programs for accepting students in higher education, missions and scholarships, which the Council discussed at its seventh session.

The meeting was attended by committee members, Dr. Maryam Obaid Al-Badwawi, committee rapporteur, Amna Ali Al-Adidi, Humaid Ahmed Al-Tayer, Somaya Abdullah Al-Suwaidi, Aisha Khamis Al-Dhanhani, and Dr. Moza Muhammad Al-Shehhi, members of the council.

The committee adopted the subject axes that address policies for integrating people of determination into education and work, the social environment that supports the integration of people of determination into education and work, and the legislative and regulatory framework for integrating people of determination into education and work.

The committee indicated in a memorandum requesting study of the subject that the government and concerned authorities are working to improve the quality of life of people of determination by empowering and integrating them into various educational and practical sectors, and removing obstacles that hinder their full participation in social, economic, cultural, and political life. These efforts require developing policies and legislation that support their integration into the various educational stages and in the labor market and guarantee them justice and equality. These policies also include organizing and directing resources effectively, enhancing coordination between the government and private sectors, and encouraging community partnership to achieve comprehensive and sustainable development, in a way that contributes to In building a cohesive and balanced society that achieves the aspirations of all its members.
