المملكة: Directives halt the implementation of government fines and give violators 60 days to object

Al-Youm learned from its sources that directives have been issued requiring citizens and residents to be given a period of “60” days to object to Government fines issued before November 2024, with their implementation temporarily suspended.

The sources revealed that this decisive decision directly aims to provide the opportunity for those affected to file a grievance before the Board of Grievances, as it is the body with the inherent jurisdiction to consider these decisions legally.

They explained that the directives explicitly stipulated a “temporary suspension” of the implementation of all decisions related to the violations covered, until a final and final decision is made in Objections raised.

She indicated that this proactive measure ensures that no material or moral harm will be caused to the beneficiaries, throughout the period of studying the grievance requests and considering them judicially and administratively.

She pointed out that this step comes as an extension of the wise leadership’s keenness to consolidate the principles of justice and transparency, and facilitate procedures for individuals to enhance their confidence in the justice systems.
