Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi chairs the Judicial Council meeting


Sharjah, April 8 / WAM / His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, Chairman of the Judicial Council, chaired, this Wednesday morning, the Council’s meeting, which was held at the Holy Quran Complex in Sharjah.
His Highness appreciated the efforts of the members of the Judicial Council during the previous period, praising the continuous work that strengthens the judicial system and the rule of law, and provides a fair judicial environment that contributes to preserving rights and achieving societal stability.
The meeting discussed a number of topics related to monitoring the quality of judicial performance and raising the efficiency of the work system in the courts, in a way that enhances the speed of adjudication of cases and ensures the achievement of justice, in addition to examining ways to develop litigation procedures, which contributes to enhancing institutional integration and achieving the highest standards of accuracy and transparency in judicial work.
The Council approved a package of draft regulatory regulations that aim to develop the legislative and professional framework for judicial work, and raise the level of practices in line with the best standards. They include the judicial inspection regulations, the code of judicial conduct, and the regulations regulating the vision of those in custody, in addition to the family guidance regulations, the professional conduct regulations for family mentors, and the regulations of authorized persons, in a way that enhances governance and establishes the principles of integrity and accountability.
The Council approved the establishment of a number of specialized prosecutions, in a qualitative step aimed at enhancing specialization and raising the efficiency of dealing with specific cases, in a way that keeps pace with the rapid developments in various fields. These include the Public Funds Prosecution, the Criminal Prosecutions Prosecution, the Economic Crimes and Money Laundering Prosecution, the Drugs Prosecution, the Family and Child Prosecution, in addition to the Traffic Prosecution, the Nationality and Residence Prosecution, the Information Technology Prosecution, and the Dibba Al-Hisn Public Prosecution, which contributes to accelerating procedures and achieving justice with greater efficiency and effectiveness.
The Council also approved the holding of the annual forum for female judges on March 10 of each year, coinciding with the International Day of Women Judges, within the framework of supporting and empowering women in the judiciary, and building a professional platform for exchanging experiences and knowledge, following the success achieved by the first edition of the forum this year, as it brings together an elite group of distinguished female judges at the state level, and aims to highlight pioneering experiences, enhance the role of women in developing the judicial system, and support the process of excellence and innovation in judicial work.
On the sidelines of the meeting, His Highness the President of the Judicial Council visited the Museum of Famous Reciters in the Holy Qur’an Complex in Sharjah, which monitors the Qur’anic heritage and displays the readings and collections of the most prominent reciters in the Arab world. His Highness listened to an explanation about the biography and journey of the elite famous reciters who became famous, from Egypt, the Levant, Mesopotamia, and Africa, along with the reciters of the Grand Mosque, the Prophet’s Mosque, and Al-Aqsa Mosque.
His Highness toured the sections of the museum and viewed the reciters’ possessions, including pictures, collectibles, letters, Qur’ans, CD recording devices, and tapes that they left behind chronicling their fragrant biography. Among them were Sheikh Abdul Basit Abdul Samad, Sheikh Mahmoud Khalil Al-Husri, Sheikh Ali Abdullah Jaber, and Sheikh Bakri Al-Tarabishi, whose recitations spread over the years and formed the figures of reading. His Highness the President of the Judicial Council also visited the studios equipped with the latest specialized technologies for Qur’anic, television and radio production with international quality standards. His Highness learned about the working method of the studios and the human cadres working in them, and highlighted the complete Qur’anic seals that had been recorded, with various narrations, according to the highest international and artistic standards.
