The Arab Parliament condemns the continuation of blatant Iranian attacks against the Gulf states despite the ceasefire agreement

The Speaker of the Arab Parliament, Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Yamahi, condemned the continuation of blatant Iranian attacks against the Arab Gulf states, with ballistic missiles and drones, despite reaching a ceasefire agreement between the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran, adding that Iran’s continued carrying out these attacks after reaching the agreement reflects an unacceptable hostile approach towards the Arab Gulf states, calling on them to fully adhere to the terms of the ceasefire agreement and adhere to the rules and principles of good neighborliness.

At the same time, Al-Yammahi affirmed that the Arab Parliament welcomed reaching this agreement, expressing his aspiration that it would contribute to the push towards reaching a final and permanent agreement that would guarantee the cessation of all forms of escalation and restore security and stability to the region, in a way that preserves the interests of its peoples and preserves its capabilities.

He stressed that the Arab countries, especially the Arab Gulf countries, must be an original party and participant in any arrangements or understandings reached, as they are the most affected by the security situation in the region, and to ensure the achievement of an integrated regional security system based on respect for the sovereignty of countries and non-interference in their internal affairs.

He stressed the need to ensure freedom of international navigation in the Strait of Hormuz permanently and safely, as it represents a vital artery for the global economy, stressing that any threat to the security of this strategic corridor is a direct threat to international stability and global energy security, and not just the region.
