Index decline "Nikki" Amid investors’ caution

TOKYO, APRIL 9, WAM/ ⁠ Japan’s Nikkei index fell today amid investor caution, after a sharp rise in the last session.

The Nikkei fell 0.3 percent to 56,125.02 points, heading to end a four-session rise if it continues the current trend.

The broader Topix index fell 0.26 percent to 3765.52.

Shares of chip manufacturers and stocks related to artificial intelligence declined. Advantest and SoftBank Group shares fell 1.59 percent and 3.95 percent, respectively.
