US stock indices rise

NEW YORK, April 10, 2017 (WAM) – The main stock indices on the US Wall Street Stock Exchange closed higher today.

The Standard & Poor’s 500 index rose 41.13 points, or 0.61 percent, to close at 6,823.94 points.

The Nasdaq Composite Index rose 187.42 points, or 0.81 percent, to 22,819.30.

In turn, the Dow Jones Industrial Average increased 273.73 points, or 0.57 percent, to reach 48,183.65 points.
