Neymar does not want to participate in the World Cup

Former Brazilian star Luizao said that Neymar does not want to participate in the 2026 World Cup, which will be held in the United States, Mexico and Canada.
The “Goal” website reported that there was a great controversy surrounding Neymar’s inclusion in Brazil’s World Cup squad, and it is still ongoing, while former Brazilian striker Luizao joined the list of those doubting the player’s readiness as the tournament approaches, indicating that the player no longer has the same balance that would enable him to lead the team in the global event.

In his conversation with the “World Champion with Galvao” program on the “In Sports” channel, Luizao did not hesitate to question Neymar’s mental and physical readiness. The player, who won the World Cup with Brazil in 2002, said that the player’s desires do not match expectations.

Luizao, one of the symbols of the Corinthians team, who was known for his scoring skills and participated in 12 international matches, explained: “I think Neymar does not want to go to the World Cup,” stressing that the player is not interested in mending his relationship with the team’s technical staff.

He added: “If we wanted to do that, as happened with Ronaldo before, if I were in his place, I would go to the coach to talk to him. When you want to, you will seek him seriously.”

Luizao, who remembered his commitment during his time playing with national teams, continued: “I think these players need a strong coach. I remember that when I joined the youth national team, I had to rent a suit to go to the national team.”
