America did not agree to unfreeze Iranian assets

A US official denied today that Washington had agreed to release any frozen Iranian assets, in response to what an Iranian official had previously told Reuters.
A senior American official told CBS News that the United States has not agreed to release any frozen Iranian assets.
He added that a Reuters report based on a senior Iranian source was not accurate.
He also noted that the meetings with Iran have not yet begun, and therefore no agreements have been discussed at all.
Reuters quoted a high-ranking Iranian source as saying, on Saturday, that the United States had agreed to release frozen Iranian assets in Qatar and other foreign banks.
