The launch of the 26th scientific session of the Islamic Forum in Sharjah
Sharjah, June 21, 2017 (WAM) – Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, the activities of the 26th scientific session, organized by the Islamic Forum of the Sharjah Islamic Affairs Department, were launched at the Al-Maghfira Mosque in Sharjah, under the slogan “And establish prayer for my remembrance.”
The opening of the session was attended by His Excellency Counselor Dr. Issa Saif bin Hanzal, Member of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Sharjah, Head of the Sharjah Islamic Affairs Department, Chairman of the Scientific Course, along with a number of Department officials, students of science, and those interested.
His Excellency Counselor Dr. Issa bin Hanzal stressed that the generous care given by His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah to scientific and cultural projects reflects His Highness’s vision of building humanity and enhancing Sharjah’s position as a beacon of science, knowledge and Islamic culture.
He pointed out that the scientific course continues its journey extending for more than 25 years in disseminating Islamic science and consolidating the approach of moderation and moderation, until it has become an annual scientific station that attracts science students and interested people from inside and outside the country.
He explained that this year’s session gains special importance after the issuance of the Emiri Decree to annex the Islamic Forum to the Sharjah Islamic Affairs Department, which contributes to enhancing institutional integration and expanding the impact of scientific and advocacy programs.
He added that choosing the course’s slogan confirms the importance of prayer and its impact on building the individual and society and promoting faith values.
The course activities will continue until the second of next July, and include a specialized scientific program that addresses the topic of prayer from its jurisprudential, faith and educational aspects, with the participation of an elite group of scholars, academics and specialists.
The program includes an explanation of the rulings on purity and prayer from the book “The Clear Answers”, lectures on the purposes of prayer and its effect on purifying the soul, lessons in interpreting Surat Al-Fatihah and the end of Juz Amma, in addition to reading “The Book of Prayer” from a summary of Sahih Muslim with approval with a connected chain of transmission, and a program in the science of Tajweed in theory and practice.
In its second week, the course also includes a lesson entitled “The Virtue of Praying for the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace,” from the book “Al-Shifa” by Judge Iyad, in addition to a number of accompanying scientific programs.
The organizing committee confirmed that the course provides participants who meet the academic requirements with the opportunity to obtain a scientific degree in the chain of transmission related to “Mukhtasar Sahih Muslim,” in addition to organizing a daily scientific competition with incentive prizes.
