The Sharjah Endowments Department launches the Endowment for the Righteous Son and Decent Living

The Sharjah Endowments Department announced the launch of two new endowments within the Charitable Endowment projects, namely the Righteous Son Endowment and the Decent Living Endowment, in a way that enhances the societal impact and keeps pace with the renewed needs of community members, within the framework of the efforts of the Sharjah Endowments Department to achieve its strategic goals aimed at developing endowment work and creating quality banks that expand the base of beneficiaries of endowment projects.

The Righteous Son Endowment is one of the new endowments within the charitable endowment with an educational dimension, as its proceeds are spent on educational, pedagogical, moral and behavioral programs and initiatives that aim to raise good, righteous, and useful children to their society, in a way that enhances family stability and community cohesion. This includes supporting gifted and struggling students, supporting competitions for memorizing the Holy Qur’an and the Sunnah of the Prophet, and rehabilitating the children of inmates educationally, behaviorally and educationally, in a way that contributes to supporting their psychological and social stability and preventing delinquency. The endowment also focuses on promoting the values of righteousness, responsibility, and discipline among children and youth through approved institutional programs, without providing direct monetary support to individuals, in order to achieve a sustainable educational impact.

In the same context, the Decent Living Endowment Bank is concerned with supporting needy members of society by addressing their basic living needs in an indirect manner that preserves privacy and preserves human dignity, by paying basic service bills, providing purchase cards for food supplies, and supporting emergency and crisis situations, in addition to providing living support through approved agencies, without providing direct cash assistance, which contributes to enhancing family stability and reducing the aggravation of temporary financial crises.

The Director General of the Endowments Department, Talib Al-Marri, said that the launch of these two endowments embodies the Department’s direction towards expanding the areas of charitable endowment to include several endowment banks and developing specific initiatives that provide innovative development solutions that respond to societal needs. He pointed out that this step reflects the role of the endowment in investing in people, supporting family stability, and enhancing community solidarity through sustainable institutional methods, which contributes to achieving a sustainable development impact and strengthening the charitable endowment system.
