Dutch police discover a hidden room containing 86,000 marijuana cigarettes

Police in the Netherlands seized 86,000 pre-rolled marijuana cigarettes and more than 120 kilograms of hashish during a raid on a commercial building in the south of the country.

The police said that officers from a specialized unit and police dogs did not initially find anything suspicious inside the building located in Echt, a town a few kilometers from the border with Germany.

But a more thorough search led them to a hidden room, where the drugs were being stored.

The raid came after suspicious activity was detected around two buildings, with investigators eventually finding the stash at one of the addresses.

The police said that no arrests had been made so far, adding that the seized drugs would be destroyed.
