"Sharjah Heritage" and"Sharjah tourism" They celebrate World Heritage Day in the Shis area

Sharjah, April 18 / WAM / The Sharjah Heritage Institute, in coordination with the Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority, celebrated World Heritage Day, which falls on April 18 of each year, in the Shees Heritage Village, amid a cultural atmosphere that reflected the authenticity of the Emirati heritage and the richness of its elements.
The event witnessed a remarkable presence of visitors and interested parties, as the segments varied between performances by popular bands and the presentation of live traditional crafts, in addition to the display of various craft products that reflect the details of traditional life in the local environment.
His Excellency Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Musallam, President of the Sharjah Institute for Heritage, confirmed that the celebration of World Heritage Day in the Shis Heritage Village reflects the depth of connection with cultural heritage and enhances its presence in the conscience of society, pointing out that the Institute will continue its efforts to preserve and document heritage, establish awareness of its importance, and connect generations to their roots with contemporary methods that preserve its authenticity and continuity.
For his part, Abu Bakr Al Kindi, Director of the Sharjah Heritage Institute, explained that this celebration reflects an integration between heritage and development by supporting the tourism movement and enhancing the presence of heritage destinations in the Emirate of Sharjah, pointing out the importance of community interaction and institutional partnerships in highlighting the national identity and consolidating it among various segments of society.
