Al Ain team is champion of the UAE Junior Football Cup
Dubai, April 19 / WAM / Al Ain Football Club team was crowned champion of the UAE U-16 Championship Cup, after defeating Al Wahda team with two unanswered goals in the final match that was held today, at Al Nasr Club Stadium No. (2).
Al Ain’s goals were scored by Saleh Adnan and Abu Bakr Chatti.
The match and the coronation ceremony were attended by Omar Al Haj Al Muhairi, a member of the Football Association’s Board of Directors, where he presented the technical and administrative staff and Al Ain team players with gold medals and the championship cup, while the technical and administrative staff and Al Wahda team players were honored with silver medals.
Al Ain had reached the final after defeating Gulf United on penalties (4-3) in the semi-finals, after normal time ended in a positive draw (1-1), while Al Wahda qualified after defeating Al Orouba with a score of (2-1) in the same round.
