The International Maritime Organization is preparing a plan to evacuate hundreds of ships from the Strait of Hormuz

The International Maritime Organization announced on Tuesday that it is working on developing a plan to evacuate hundreds of ships stuck in The Strait of Hormuz Since the start of the American and Israeli strikes on Iran 8 weeks ago, according to what was stated by Secretary-General Arsenio Dominguez.
Dominguez explained, on the sidelines of the Singapore Maritime Week, that the plan will not be activated except when clear signs of reducing the escalation appear. He added that the details under discussion include Ship departure, based on how long the crew has been stranded, among other factors.
Domínguez said that any crossings would follow a long-established approved route, a traffic separation system proposed by Iran and Oman and adopted by the International Maritime Organization in 1968.
Iran has adopted a system in recent weeks that includes a specific route near its coast, and in some cases includes paying fees for the crossing.
It is continuing. The International Maritime Organization worked with the countries bordering the Gulf, including Iran and Oman, and the flag states, to finalize the plan.
