Delivery of more than 1,000 residential units on Jubail Island in Abu Dhabi

ABU DHABI, 21 APRIL / WAM / Jubail Island Investment Company – JIIC announced the completion and handover of more than 1,000 residential units on Jubail Island in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, in a pivotal station that reflects the project’s transition from the development stage to the actual operation stage.

Jubail Island is located on an area exceeding 40 million square metres, surrounded by mangrove forests, and is being developed by Lead Development under the supervision of Jubail Island Investment Company.

The island enjoys a strategic location between Yas and Saadiyat Islands, and is located only 15 minutes from Zayed International Airport, which enhances its position as a residential destination that combines the serenity of nature and the vitality of urban connectivity.

The island has witnessed a gradual transformation from a project under development to a lively residential environment in which families settle, and today residents live the lifestyle for which the island was designed, as open spaces extend between the mangrove forests, and pedestrian and bicycle paths connect between the residential villages.

As the pace of delivery accelerates, the island is moving firmly towards consolidating the concept of “living, working and entertainment”, through a master plan that provides easy access to various facilities and services through an interconnected network of paths, linking its six villages, Marsa Al-Jubail, Nad Al-Dhabi, Saif Al-Jubail, Souq Al-Jubail, Ain Al-Maha, and Bida’ Al-Jubail.

In the heart of the island, the Jubail Mangrove Park stands out as a leading eco-tourism destination in Abu Dhabi. It also hosts the “Abu Dhabi Princely Equestrian Arts”, adding a qualitative cultural and sporting dimension to the residential experience.

Community life is supported by four main community centres, while prospective educational institutions, including Gordonstoun School and Redwood Center of Excellence Nursery, will enhance the island’s appeal for families and support long-term stability.

The island was designed as a low-density community, with the development rate not exceeding 20% ​​of its total area, while preserving the mangrove forest ecosystem, and providing more than 1.2 million square meters of parks and open spaces, in confirmation of the commitment to environmental sustainability and natural balance.

Engineer Abdullah Al Shamsi, General Manager of Jubail Island Investment Company, confirmed that the delivery of more than 1,000 homes constitutes an essential milestone in the development process of the project, and embodies the vision from which the island was launched as a sustainable residential community, explaining that all details of the project were carefully designed, starting from the general plan and ending with the preservation of the mangrove forests, which contributes to improving the quality of life for the residents.
