The Head of State receives the Italian Minister of Defense
Abu Dhabi, April 22 / WAM / His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, received His Excellency Guido Crosetto, Minister of Defense of the Italian Republic.
During the meeting, the Minister of Defense conveyed to His Highness the greetings of Her Excellency Giorgia Meloni, Prime Minister of the Italian Republic, and her wishes for continued security and prosperity for the UAE.
The meeting discussed relations of cooperation and joint work between the two countries and ways to enhance them in the fields of defense and security affairs.
They also discussed developments in the Middle East region and their repercussions on regional and global security and stability, in addition to their effects on the security of international navigation, in addition to the Iranian terrorist attacks against the UAE and countries of the region, which targeted civilians and civilian facilities and infrastructure. His Excellency renewed Italy’s condemnation of the attacks that constitute a violation of the sovereignty of states and international law and undermine regional stability and security.
The meeting was attended by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chief of the Presidential Office for Special Affairs, His Excellency Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Mazrouei, Minister of State for Defense Affairs, and a number of officials.
