The young Spanish star, Lamine Jamal, commented after revealing the nature of his injury, which he suffered during his match against his guest Celta Vigo (1-0) yesterday evening, Wednesday, in the 33rd round of the local football league.
Lamine Gamal took a penalty kick that Barcelona won in the 40th minute, and translated it into the only winning goal for the hosts, but immediately after executing the kick, he collapsed on the field of the Camp Nou stadium due to feeling pain in the back of his left thigh, and was replaced in stoppage time of the first half.
Barcelona said in an official statement on Thursday: “Lamine Jamal has been confirmed to have suffered an injury to his hamstring muscle, and although he will not be able to play in the remaining matches of the season, he is expected to participate in the World Cup.”
Lamine Jamal published a statement this evening, Thursday, through his official account on the “Instagram” platform, in which he said: “This injury keeps me away from the field at the moment I wanted to be present more than ever, and this hurts more than I can explain.”
He added: “It hurts me that I cannot fight with my teammates, and I cannot help when the team needs me, but I believe in them and I know that they will give their soul in every match. I will be there, even if from the outside, supporting, encouraging, and defending as one of them.”
