Emirates Airlines and Real Madrid extend their historic partnership until 2031

Emirates Airlines announced the renewal of its strategic partnership with Real Madrid until 2031, marking a historic milestone as the longest shirt sponsorship agreement in the history of the Spanish League.
This new agreement expands to include sponsorship of the men’s and women’s football teams, in addition to sponsorship of the club’s age group teams in support of developing young talents, and extends beyond that to the world of basketball through a multi-year agreement under which the carrier will become the main official sponsor of the Real Madrid Basketball Club until 2031.
Through this partnership, Emirates Airlines continues its role as a major sponsor and official air carrier, ensuring that its brand continues to appear on match shirts, training clothes, and the uniforms of technical and administrative staff in major tournaments, such as the Spanish League, the Champions League, the Spanish King’s Cup, and the Spanish Super Cup.
Boutros Boutros, Executive Vice President of Marketing, Brand and Corporate Communications at Emirates Airlines, stressed that the carrier has a long history of supporting football and enhancing communication with millions of fans around the world, explaining that the partnership with Real Madrid embodies this commitment by providing exceptional experiences that inspire the next generation of players and fans.
He said that Emirates’ presence in Spain has witnessed continuous growth with the development of this relationship, as its operations have expanded since the launch of its first flights to Madrid in 2010 to include the operation of five daily flights to Madrid and Barcelona, which reflects the long-term commitment to this market. Real Madrid President Florentino Pérez, for his part, highlighted the importance of this partnership, noting that it embodies the depth of the distinguished relationship based on mutual trust and common ambition. He stressed the aspiration to continue this path and explore new horizons that enhance this solid cooperation in the coming years after cooperating together during one of the most successful and accomplished stages in the club’s history.
The new agreement includes enhancing the wide presence of the Emirates brand in the various facilities of the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium, providing access to the club’s training facilities, and adding an exclusive Emirates lounge inside the stadium.
These steps come as an extension of a strong partnership that began in 2011, and was strengthened in 2013 when the carrier became the main sponsor of the club’s shirts. Emirates Airlines has embodied this support over the years with special designs on its Airbus A380 aircraft bearing images of the team’s stars, and a full livery of the Boeing 777 aircraft designated for the club’s flights during the Spanish Super Cup, in addition to providing exclusive experiences for fans that included meetings with players, match day events, and competitions to attend. Confrontations.
Emirates Airline’s commitment to supporting football is embodied in a wide network of long-term partnerships with the most prestigious clubs in the game in the world, as its logo appears on the shirts of Arsenal, AC Milan, Benfica and Olympique Lyonnais. It is a platinum partner of the German club Bayern Munich. It also has the naming and sponsorship rights to the FA Cup for about a decade, and continues to support the UAE Professional League with its fourteen clubs.
The carrier has the largest sponsorship portfolio among airlines in the world, extending to the most popular sports such as tennis, rugby, basketball, sailing, bicycle racing, golf, horse racing, cricket, and Australian rules football.
Emirates Airlines harnesses the power of sport to make a positive impact on communities around the world. In 2025, the carrier launched the “Emirates Signature Series” initiative, which included a charity auction for an exclusive collection of football shirts signed by players from international clubs, most notably Real Madrid, AC Milan, Arsenal, Benfica, and Bayern Munich. The entire proceeds of this initiative were allocated to the Emirates Airline Charitable Foundation, the non-profit humanitarian arm of the airline, and to the charitable institutions supported by the participating clubs.
