Identification of the shooter at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner

Video clips circulating on the Internet revealed the moment the gunman suspected of opening fire during the White House Correspondents’ Dinner was arrested on Saturday.

Fox News reported that the suspect, who was arrested, is named Cole Thomas Allen, who is 31 years old and hails from California.

The incident occurred at the Washington Hilton Hotel, while US President Donald Trump was attending a dinner party in one of its halls.

Members of the US Secret Service quickly removed Trump and his wife, Melania Trump, from the hall, after hearing sounds of gunfire.

About an hour after leaving the party, Trump wrote on the Truth Social platform that “the shooter was arrested,” before publishing his photo in a subsequent post.
