"Ras Al Khaimah Transportation" Sign a service launch agreement "Uber" In the emirate

Ras Al Khaimah, April 27 / WAM / The Ras Al Khaimah Transport Authority signed a cooperation agreement with Uber to launch Uber application services in the emirate.
The agreement aims to enhance the transportation system in Ras Al Khaimah and provide smart and diverse transportation options, by providing the possibility of booking the authority’s taxis and limousines through the “Uber” application as part of its efforts to enhance the transportation system and simplify the transportation experience within the emirate.
The agreement was signed by His Excellency Engineer Ismail Hassan Al Balushi, Director General of the Ras Al Khaimah Transport Authority, and Tala Nassouli, General Manager of Uber in the UAE, at the Authority’s headquarters.
Under this agreement, customers will be able to request taxi and limousine trips easily and reliably via the Uber application, which is available 24 hours a day, with the click of a button. Passengers will be able to pay the trip fare securely and digitally, which contributes to simplifying the experience and enhancing the ease of daily transportation.
Al Balushi explained that signing this agreement comes within the Authority’s ongoing efforts to develop transportation services and adopt smart digital solutions that improve customer experience and keep pace with the vision of the Ras Al Khaimah government towards a smart and sustainable transportation system.
He pointed out that operating taxis and limousines via the Uber application represents a qualitative shift in the transportation sector in the emirate, by enhancing operational efficiency and supporting the integration of the smart transportation system.
He added that this partnership provides a wider segment of visitors, tourists and residents with convenient and easy transportation options through smart platforms, especially with the continuous growth in the number of visitors to the emirate annually. He stressed that Ras Al Khaimah is among the few cities in the Middle East that operate taxis via the “Uber” application, which reflects the authority’s commitment to adopting the latest innovations in the transportation sector.
For her part, the General Manager of Uber in the UAE said: “Our partnership with the Ras Al Khaimah Transport Authority to launch the Uber application service in the emirate represents an important step towards achieving Ras Al Khaimah’s vision of providing smart, sustainable and diverse transportation solutions. We now offer the option of ordering taxis and limousines, with ease, through the Uber application, which provides residents, tourists and visitors with a smooth experience and broader transportation options.
