Sharjah Police arrests an Asian who promoted drugs through electronic cigarettes

The Sharjah Police General Command, represented by the Narcotics Prevention and Control Directorate, announced the arrest of an accused of Asian nationality, following follow-up and monitoring operations that confirmed his possession of a quantity of narcotic drugs for the purpose of drug trafficking. She stressed that, based on the wise leadership’s interest in youth and families and its constant keenness to protect society from everything that threatens its security and stability, the security authorities are keeping in mind the phenomenon of the spread of drugs, stressing that they will not be lenient in dealing with anyone who tempts himself to spread these toxins or promote them in any way.

Brigadier Majid Sultan Al-Assam – Director of the Directorate of Drug Prevention and Control, confirmed that through investigations it was found that the accused had converted his residence into a mini-house for packing electronic cigarettes and packaging them with narcotic substances for the purpose of marketing. By raiding the site, a quantity of hand-packed electronic cigarettes was seized, in addition to the tools and equipment used in the packaging process.

Brigadier General Al-Assam pointed out the continuity of efforts made by the security services to combat the scourge of drugs, and that dealing with such crimes is done through precise plans that rely on monitoring, follow-up and coordination. To ensure the arrest of dealers and the protection of society, he stressed that drugs represent a direct threat to the security and safety of young people, and that the security services will not hesitate to pursue anyone proven to be involved in bringing or promoting these substances.

The Sharjah Police General Command renews its call to members of society, especially parents, to pay attention to children’s behaviors, follow them up continuously, and promote open family dialogue with them.
