"Sharjah resources" Organizes a program to develop the cyber capabilities of government employees
Sharjah, April 28 / WAM / The Sharjah Human Resources Department, in cooperation with the Sharjah Cybersecurity Center of the Sharjah Digital Department, organized the “Cyber Capabilities Development Programme”, as part of its keenness to enhance the efficiency of government cadres and advance digital readiness in the emirate.
The program aims to raise the level of security awareness, develop employees’ skills and enable them to deal efficiently with renewed cyber threats and challenges, in addition to preparing them to apply the latest concepts and technologies in protecting systems and data, in a way that enhances the readiness of government agencies and ensures the continuity of their business and the sustainability of their digital security.
The program includes a specialized training series in the field of cybersecurity, through which practical and applied workshops are presented covering modern and advanced topics, with a focus on the technical and professional aspects related to protecting systems and data. The program is scheduled to continue until October 2026, targeting Sharjah government employees working in the fields of information technology and information security, in addition to relevant functional cadres.
The organization of the program emphasizes the importance of investing in developing national capabilities in vital technical fields, and strengthening institutional partnerships to support the establishment of a safe and sustainable digital environment, and to keep pace with the aspirations of the Emirate of Sharjah towards excellence in government work.
His Excellency Abdullah Ibrahim Al Zaabi, Member of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Sharjah and Head of the Human Resources Department, stressed that the implementation of these specialized programs embodies the importance of cybersecurity as a fundamental pillar in enhancing the efficiency of government work and ensuring the safe continuity of its services, indicating that this series represents an extension of efforts to develop digital awareness and build institutional capabilities in this vital field.
He added that these programs contribute to consolidating the concepts of protection and safety in the work environment, and enhancing employees’ readiness to deal with accelerating digital challenges, which supports building a more integrated and sustainable work system, and enhances the ability of government agencies to deal with digital developments efficiently and flexibly.
Engineer Abdel Nasser Obaid Bukhatir, Director of the Sharjah Cybersecurity Centre, stressed that the “Cyber Capabilities Program” constitutes a pivotal pillar in building an advanced cyber security system based on proactive readiness and raising the efficiency of government human capital, pointing out that the accelerating digital transformation requires business models capable of predicting risks and dealing with them before they occur, and not just responding to them.
He explained that the program reflects a strategic direction towards empowering national competencies with advanced cognitive and applied tools that contribute to enhancing institutional capacity to protect digital assets and ensure business sustainability, within an integrated framework that combines governance, technologies and building a security culture.
