"Muslim sages" Participates in the Rabat International Book Fair 2026

Abu Dhabi, April 29 / WAM / The Muslim Council of Elders, in cooperation with the Ministry of Tolerance and Coexistence, will participate in a special pavilion in the activities of the 31st session of the Rabat International Book Fair 2026, during the period from April 30 to May 10.

The Council confirmed that the pavilion enjoys the patronage and support of His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, who is making significant efforts to spread and enhance the culture of tolerance and human coexistence locally, Arably, and internationally, and is always working to present the Emirati model of tolerance and acceptance of others to the world. As a successful and influential model at all levels.

The pavilion participating in the Rabat Fair includes more than 275 books and publications in 5 languages, including 25 new books that address the most important intellectual issues and contribute to confronting extremist thought and correcting misconceptions, in addition to more than 20 publications by His Eminence the Grand Imam Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, Sheikh of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, President of the Muslim Council of Elders, highlighting the tolerance of Islam and the richness of its intellectual and philosophical heritage, in addition to a number of intellectual publications by members of the Council. An elite group of thinkers and researchers, in addition to a distinguished group of translated books, and selected publications by the Ministry of Tolerance and Coexistence.

His Excellency Counselor Mohamed Abdel Salam, Secretary-General of the Council, said that the Council’s participation in the Rabat International Book Fair comes within the framework of its keenness to expand the circles of cultural and intellectual dialogue and enhance its humanitarian presence globally.

He stressed that the Rabat Exhibition represents a comprehensive cultural and civilizational forum, and a platform for exchanging ideas and promoting rapprochement between cultures, in line with the Council’s mission to build bridges of dialogue and human understanding, noting the Council’s keenness to provide sober intellectual content that contributes to confronting hate speech and extremism, enhances the values ​​of coexistence and tolerance, and highlights the civilized image of Islam based on dialogue, coexistence and mutual respect.

Her Excellency Afraa Al Sabri, Director General of the Ministry of Tolerance and Coexistence, said that cooperation with the Council of Muslim Elders in this international cultural event reflects the UAE’s commitment to spreading and promoting the values ​​of tolerance and coexistence globally.

She stressed that the joint participation represents an important platform to highlight the pioneering Emirati experience in transforming human values ​​into a practical reality to be emulated, stressing that the pavilion embodies the UAE’s global role in spreading awareness and building bridges of communication between cultures.

Al-Sabri also praised the cooperation between the Ministry of Tolerance and Coexistence and Muslim scholars in this field, stressing that it is a link in a long chain of cooperation and partnership to promote human values ​​locally and globally.

The Council’s participation in the Rabat International Book Fair stems from its mission aimed at promoting peace, consolidating the values ​​of dialogue and coexistence, and building bridges of cooperation between human beings of different races and beliefs.
