Abu Dhabi Police enhances digital awareness for drug prevention in working cities

The Abu Dhabi Police General Command, represented by the Anti-Narcotics Directorate in the Criminal Security Sector, implemented an awareness initiative coinciding with International Labor Day, May 1, in cooperation with the Labor Cities Authority, as part of its ongoing efforts to enhance community awareness of the dangers of drugs and psychotropic substances, and to support the strategic priority “proactive security” and the strategic goal “advanced security capabilities for detection and response and enhancing ways to enhance digital awareness.”

The initiative included publishing “digital drug awareness awareness” materials targeting workers, in Arabic, English and Urdu, with the aim of raising awareness of the dangers of drug abuse, highlighting its negative effects on the individual and society, in addition to introducing the legal penalties resulting from drug abuse or promotion.
