"Analogue" Shows off an intelligent robot supported by a system "I" Developer in Abu Dhabi
Abu Dhabi, 5 May / WAM / Analog, during its participation in the fifth session of the “Make in the UAE 2026” exhibition, showcased an interactive artificial intelligence system called “Ana”, whose software and operational systems were developed locally in Abu Dhabi, specifically on Yas Island, in a step that reflects the growing UAE capabilities in developing advanced artificial intelligence and robotics technologies, and strengthens the country’s position as a regional center for future technologies.
Carlos Palacios, a field applications engineer at the company, confirmed to the Emirates News Agency, WAM, that “Analog” is working to develop an advanced technical system that enhances the presence of artificial intelligence in the UAE, through “mixed reality” solutions that integrate sensor data with digital environments, allowing smart systems to interact directly with their surroundings, analyze data, and make decisions independently.
He explained that “Ana” represents an advanced model of multi-tasking artificial intelligence systems, as it has advanced analytical capabilities and independence that enable it to understand and respond to situations, in addition to controlling devices and robots based on the context provided, without the need for detailed commands, which enhances the efficiency of integration between humans and machines within smart operational environments.
He pointed out that the design of the virtual character of “Anna” wearing the hijab was in line with the Emirati identity, and within the framework of the company’s direction towards empowering women and promoting the development of artificial intelligence technologies locally, which reflects the use of modern technology within a cultural and societal context that expresses the Emirati environment.
He added that “Ana” plays a pivotal role within the “AnaBo” robot dedicated to the hospitality and smart guidance sector, as it can guide visitors inside the exhibition and major sites, guide them to the various pavilions, in addition to providing them with detailed information about the entities participating in “Make in the Emirates”, identifying their names, and suggesting pavilions or other destinations that suit their interests, within an integrated interactive experience supported by artificial intelligence through one device.
He noted that “Anna” works via an advanced robot from Boston Dynamics, while the system relies on “mixed reality” technologies that connect the physical world with the virtual world by integrating sensor data into digital environments, enabling smart systems to interact and make decisions independently.
