المملكة: "commerce" 23,000 monitoring tours are carried out in Mecca, Medina, and the Holy Sites


The Ministry implemented TradeMore than (23) thousand preventive monitoring tours in Mecca and Medina, timings and roads leading to The Two Holy Mosques and the Holy Sites, since the beginning of the month of Dhul-Qi’dah, as part of the Ministry’s supervisory plan for the Hajj of the year 1447 AH, to enhance consumer protection, control markets, and ensure the abundance of food supplies.

The tours included a number of commercial establishments in the central region, and sales outlets in the miqat of Al-Juhfa and the miqat of Yalamlam, and the miqat of Qarn Al-Manazel in Al-Sail Al-Kabir, in addition to the miqat of Wadi Muharram, where the abundance was verified. Basic goods and compliance with regulations and instructions, ensuring the provision of high-quality services to the pilgrims, and ensuring the clarity of prices and the validity of commercial offers.

Continuous oversight

The Ministry confirmed the continuation of preventive oversight tours during the coming period, to ensure commercial establishments’ compliance with regulations and instructions, which contributes to the abundance of supply and raising the level of commercial compliance, and providing distinguished regular services to the guests of the Merciful coming to perform Hajj rituals.

These tours come within the Ministry of Commerce’s ongoing plan. To raise the level of compliance and reduce commercial violations, while emphasizing the continuation of preventive oversight work on a daily basis, and calling on consumers to report any observations through official channels.
