Our forces carried out defensive strikes against Iranian military facilities

The US military said that US Navy destroyers were subjected to unprovoked Iranian attacks while crossing the Strait of Hormuz.
He added in a statement that Iran fired several missiles, drones, and small boats while the destroyers Truxtun, Rafael Peralta, and Mason were crossing the Strait of Hormuz, without sustaining damage.
He stated that the US Central Command carried out defensive strikes, eliminated threats, and targeted Iranian military installations responsible for the attack, which included missile and drone launch sites, command and control centers, and surveillance and reconnaissance centers.
He stressed that the United States is not seeking escalation, but is positioned and ready to protect American forces.
