Trump expresses his willingness to send negotiators to settle the Ukraine war

US President Donald Trump announced his willingness to send American negotiators to Moscow, “if that would contribute to reaching a settlement to the war in Ukraine.”
Trump told reporters, in response to a question about his willingness to send an American delegation to Moscow for talks on Ukraine: “I will do it if I think it will help. I will do it.” According to what was reported by the Russian Sputnik agency, today, Saturday.
In a related context, Trump expressed his desire for a “significant extension” of the truce between Russia and Ukraine, referring to the truce announced during the period from May 9 to 11.
Russian Presidential Assistant Yuri Ushakov announced earlier that Russia had agreed to Trump’s initiative for a ceasefire and prisoner exchange with the Ukrainian side.
