المملكة: Urgent: Central exams for 3 grades… and “Education” excludes distinguished schools

The educational process and improving learning outcomes.
The Ministry explained that the evaluation will include the subjects of the Arabic language and mathematics for students in the third grade of primary school.
Accurate evaluation
It indicated that the scope of tests is expanding to include science and the English language, in addition to the Arabic language and mathematics, for students in the sixth grade of primary and third grade of intermediate school.
It confirmed the application of this academic procedure to all students of public education in its governmental and private tracks, to ensure Comprehensiveness and accuracy of the evaluation.
It pointed out that schools that achieve the level of excellence in learning outcomes are exempted from these tests, with the aim of highlighting the maturity of their academic experience and empowering them.
The Ministry indicated that the exception from taking the final exams extends to include continuing education schools, teaching older women, in addition to students with disabilities.
Preparing questions
It revealed in the central exams guide for the current year that the relevant committees are responsible for preparing the questions centrally, in direct coordination with The National Curriculum Centre.
She added that questions are prepared in accordance with the controls and specifications of the established curricula, to ensure that all units, skills and knowledge required of students are covered.
She stated that this step aims to improve the formulation of questions and raise the level of students’ performance in the results of national and international studies.
She concluded that the tests contribute effectively to diagnosing the strengths and weaknesses within the curricula, and comparing current performance levels with the desired level, which contributes to improving Teaching and evaluation practices for teachers.
