Chairman of the Department of Energy – Abu Dhabi: The family is the nucleus of society and the basis of sustainable development

ABU DHABI, 15 MAY / WAM / His Excellency Dr. Abdullah Humaid Al Jarwan, Chairman of the Department of Energy in Abu Dhabi, stressed that the family represents the basic foundation for building a stable and prosperous society, and its stability forms the cornerstone of sustainable development and enhancing the quality of life, coinciding with the International Day of Families, which falls on May 15 of each year.

On this occasion, His Excellency said that the UAE pays great attention to the family, based on the vision of the wise leadership in consolidating the position of the family as the nucleus of society and the basis of sustainable development.

He added that the International Day of Families highlights the importance of providing a stable and safe environment that enables the family to perform its pivotal role in society, in line with the UAE’s development approach, which puts people at the top of priorities, based on the firm belief that family stability constitutes the basic foundation in building the process of development and prosperity.

His Excellency pointed out that the Department of Energy recognizes that the quality of life and family stability are linked to the reliability and sustainability of basic services that affect the daily lives of community members, most notably water and energy services. He explained that providing safe, effective and sustainable services not only contributes to enhancing the efficiency of vital sectors, but also supports family stability and the well-being of society.

His Excellency Dr. Abdullah Humaid Al Jarwan stressed the Department of Energy’s commitment to continuing to develop a more efficient, flexible and future-ready water and energy system, which enhances the reliability of basic services and supports the competitiveness of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and its leadership in adopting sustainable development models that take into account the needs of society and future generations.
