America and Israel are preparing to launch “joint” military strikes against Iranian infrastructure

The Israeli Kan news channel, quoting a senior Israeli official, revealed that Tel Aviv and Washington are raising their level of military alert in anticipation of the possibility of strikes in Iran. The official confirmed, in a report on the channel’s website, that if US President Donald Trump allows the resumption of attacks against Tehran, these strikes will be carried out jointly by the armies of the two countries.
Highlights of the Kan channel report:
- The Israeli official indicated that Israel is primarily concerned with targeting Iran’s national energy infrastructure.
- Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu held telephone discussions with President Trump that lasted for more than half an hour, largely focusing on the possibility of resuming military operations against Iran.
- Some Israeli circles are pushing to strike Iranian infrastructure, believing that this escalation will force Tehran to soften its position during the negotiations. However, other professional parties express their doubts about this approach, believing that Iran will not give up on its fundamental issues at this stage.
- The channel quoted Israeli security sources as assessing that Mojtaba Khamenei leads the hard-line wing within the Iranian leadership, and strongly opposes making any concessions in negotiations with the United States.
A firm stance from the American administration
In a related context, the report discussed President Trump’s reaction to the recent Iranian proposal published in the Tehran Times, which included a two-stage plan starting with a comprehensive ceasefire.
Trump commented on the proposal in a firm manner, saying: “I have seen Iran’s latest proposal. When I don’t like the first sentence, I simply throw it all in the trash.” He added, stressing: “If they do not agree to stop their nuclear path, I will not continue reading the rest.”
Despite this hard-line position, the US President kept the door ajar to diplomacy, as he set a horizon for negotiations, saying: “Agreeing to stop uranium enrichment for 20 years is a good thing, but they have to really commit to that… We will remove the nuclear dust from them.”
