The Belgian Foreign Minister condemns the targeting of the vicinity of the Barakah Nuclear Power Plant and affirms his country’s full solidarity with the UAE

Brussels, 18 May / WAM / Maxime Prévot, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belgium, condemned the attack that today targeted an electric generator outside the internal perimeter of the Barakah Nuclear Power Plant in the Al Dhafra region with a drone, and affirmed his country’s full solidarity with the UAE.

Prevo said on his account on the (X) website that any military activity that affects or threatens nuclear facilities is unacceptable and its consequences transcend national borders… stressing that the safety and security of nuclear energy can never be neglected anywhere.
