"Emirates Cycling" He won the Tour of Portugal title and finished runner-up in Hungary

Capitals, May 18, WAM / The Emirates Youth Cycling Team was crowned champion of the “Tour of Portugal 2026”, after the strong performance presented by its riders in the various stages of the race, and the team concluded its participation yesterday with three stage victories and crowning the overall title.

Russian Matvey Boldyrev succeeded in clinching the top spot in the overall standings with a total time of 14:19:54 hours, after presenting outstanding levels throughout the stages of the race, achieving his first title in stage races in the team’s jersey, while his Spanish colleague Jaime Torres came in second place, a minute and 27 seconds behind, confirming the team’s dominance on the podium.

Italian Davide Stella also concluded the team’s journey in the race in the best possible way, after winning the fourth and final stage with a time of 3:10:52 hours, beating the Spanish Albert Roca and the Portuguese João Martins in final speed.

This victory holds special significance for the cyclist, La Stella, who returned to participate in stage races after a long rehabilitation period following a severe accident during his participation in the Al Ula Tour at the beginning of this season, confirming his readiness and recovery of his competitive level.

Kuznefroi had a distinguished week in the race, during which he culminated in a wonderful victory in the second stage, before he concluded the Tour in runner-up, 40 seconds behind Swede Jakob Söderqvist, who led the overall standings.
