In a related context, a senior American security official revealed to Kan that joint preparations between the United States and Israel to resume the military campaign have already been completed, suggesting that President Trump will make his final decision “very soon.”

The security official stressed that “coordination between the United States and Israel is at its highest levels… and no party will be surprised when the decision to resume the war is taken.”

Fears of Iranian “miscalculation” and an American airlift

According to Israeli officials, the level of security preparedness has reached its most advanced stage since the fighting stopped last month, and this readiness includes extensive defensive preparations. These steps come amid fears that the atmosphere of war and the US President’s statements will push the Iranian leadership towards a “misjudgment” of the situation, which may encourage them to initiate the first strike.

On the field level, in recent days, an unusual and intense movement of American transport aircraft heading to Israel has been observed, in a clear indication of the continued transfer of more ammunition and interceptor missiles to the region in preparation for any possible escalation.
