World Health: The Ebola outbreak is an international emergency, not a global pandemic


The World Health Organization declared that in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Uganda constitutes a public health emergency of international concern, without being considered a global pandemic.

The Director-General of the Organization, Tedros Adhanom, explained in a press conference that the Emergency Committee of the International Health Regulations held a meeting regarding the outbreak of the Caused by a virus "Bundibuji"It issued several recommendations that focused on strengthening epidemiological monitoring and early detection, accelerating contact tracing, and increasing laboratory testing capabilities, especially with the presence of hundreds of suspected cases, and the difficulty of estimating the true size of the outbreak.
