The record race among the stars enhances the status of the ADNOC Professional League

Abu Dhabi, May 21 / WAM / The 2025-2026 season of the ADNOC Professional League was celebrated with strong competition among the most prominent stars of the tournament, in a scene that reflects the high competitive level of the competition, whether at the level of offensive effectiveness, playmaking, or physical readiness and continuity, according to numbers and statistics issued by the UAE Professional League.
Togolese Kodjo Laba, the Al Ain striker, continued his remarkable presence in the scorers’ race, after he finished the season at the top of the list with 25 goals, confirming his position as one of the most prominent strikers in the history of the competition.
Syrian Omar Khribin, the Al-Wahda player, came in second place with 17 goals, while Yuri Cesar Santos from Shabab Al-Ahly came third with 13 goals, then Karim Al-Barkawi, the Al-Dhafra player, came fourth with 11 goals, and Walid Azaro and Tariq Tisodale were equal with 10 goals each.
In terms of goal making, Serbian Dusan Tadic, Al Wahda player, topped the list of best playmakers with 12 assists, ahead of Al Ain player Matias Blasius, who had 10 assists, while Federico Cartabia and Nicolas Jimenez came in third place with 8 assists each, then Alejandro Sebastian fifth with 7 assists.
In the readiness and continuity of participation index, the lead was shared by Amjad Al Sayed, Al Dhafra goalkeeper, and Ali Al Hosani, Ajman player, with 2,340 minutes, followed by Joko Zakov with 2,334 minutes, then Khaled Issa, Al Ain goalkeeper, with 2,323 minutes, and Matthias Blasius, with 2,272 minutes, in a clear indication of the technical staff’s reliance on fixed elements throughout the season.
In terms of shots, Kodjo Laba continued his offensive superiority by topping the list with 88 shots, ahead of Omar Khribin with 65 shots, then Abdullah Toure and Walid Azaro with 50 shots each, while Muhannad Ali came fifth with 48 shots.
Regarding correct passes, Matías Blasius topped the list with 1,236 correct passes, followed by Glauber Lima with 1,179 passes, then Luka Milivojevic with 1,150 passes, Yahya Benkhalek with 1,130 passes, and Jobson Santos with 1,128 passes, which reflects the pivotal role of midfielders in controlling the tempo of matches and building attacks.
The season also witnessed clear brilliance in terms of successful dribbles, as Kevin Ardila topped the list with 48 dribbles, followed by Sergio Pereira with 45 dribbles, then Ibrahima Diarra with 42 dribbles, while Abdullah Toure and Guilherme da Silva shared fourth place with 40 dribbles each.
Kodjo Lapa strengthened his historic numbers in the tournament after he was crowned the league’s top scorer for the fifth time since joining, after winning the 2019-2020 seasons with “19” goals, 2021-2022 with “26” goals, 2022-2023 with “28” goals, and 2024-2025 with “20” goals, in addition to the current season with “25” goals.
Laba raised his total score to 143 goals in the ADNOC Professional League, 48 goals ahead of his closest competitor, Ali Mabkhout, who scored “95” goals.
The Al Ain striker played 155 matches in the competition, during which he contributed to 168 goals, with 143 goals and 25 assists, continuing to consolidate his position as one of the most influential players in the history of the ADNOC Professional League.
On the other hand, Omar Khribin continued his brilliance after reaching 126 goalscoring contributions in 155 matches, with 99 goals and 27 assists. He also became the second highest-scoring player with Al-Wahda in the league since joining, with 82 goals, behind Kodjo Lapa.
The season also witnessed the distinguished presence of Dusan Tadic, who topped the list of playmakers with 12 assists, including a hat-trick of assists against Baniyas in the twelfth round, confirming his position as one of the most prominent playmakers and influential technical elements in the tournament.
These numbers and statistics confirm that the 2025-2026 season was one of the most competitive seasons on the individual level, in light of the great rapprochement between the stars, and the diversity of elements of artistic influence within the various ADNOC Professional League clubs.
