The Kuwaiti Prosecution refers defendants affiliated with the Revolutionary Guard to the competent court

The Kuwaiti Public Prosecution announced the referral of defendants affiliated with the Iranian Revolutionary Guard to the competent court, to begin their trial for the crimes charged against them.
The Kuwaiti Prosecution said in a statement, today, Thursday, that a number of members of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard were arrested, following their illegal incursion into the State of Kuwait, crossing its maritime borders, and infiltrating a prohibited military zone, after they were monitored by the armed forces charged with securing the site and intercepting them inside the military zone. In an incident that revealed an organized operation carried out with advance preparation and tight coordination, using boats and navigational and field equipment, and in their possession of weapons, ammunition, communications and monitoring devices, with the intention of targeting sites and installations of a military, sovereign and security nature.
She added: “These actions were embodied, including the organization, concealment, and prior military planning that accompanied them. And the accompanying attempt to kill members of the guarding force by shooting at them, in a hostile act that targeted Kuwait’s sovereignty, the sanctity of its territory and its security, and undermined its stability and higher interests.”
She continued: “The Public Prosecution began the investigation procedures immediately after the accused were referred to it, and the investigation team moved to begin its work, where the accused were interrogated and confronted with what was proven with evidence and evidence and moved to the site of the incident to conduct a comprehensive field inspection and remove the material and technical traces associated with it, and listen to the statements of witnesses and members of the force responsible for securing the site. The General Department of Criminal Evidence was also assigned to conduct specialized technical examinations on weapons, ammunition, devices and seizures, analyze the effects and conduct the necessary technical comparison, within the framework of completing all the necessary technical comparisons for the Public Prosecution. Investigation procedures, leading to a complete understanding of the incident’s circumstances, circumstances, motives and ramifications, and revealing all related actions, facts and connections.”
In light of the results of the investigations and the measures taken, the Kuwaiti Public Prosecution decided to refer the accused to the competent court to begin their trial for the crimes charged against them.
The Kuwaiti Public Prosecution stressed that Kuwait’s sovereignty, territorial integrity and security are among the constitutional and legal constants that cannot be tolerated or undermined, and which the Constitution and law have surrounded with protection and support. It confirms that the acts attributed to the accused, including violations of the state’s sovereignty, breaching its borders, incursion into a prohibited military zone, targeting sites and installations of a military and sovereign nature, and the accompanying attempt to kill members of the armed forces, collectively constitute a violation of the country’s unity, territorial integrity, and military security, and involve the crime of aggression punishable under Decree Law No. (156) of 2025 regarding combating international crimes. In addition to other crimes punishable under the Penal Code and its amendments.
These actions also constitute a serious violation of the provisions of Decree Law No. (13) of 2026 regarding securing and protecting the supreme interests of military authorities, with what it represents as a special legal fence to protect military areas, sovereign installations, borders, and guarded sites, and to preserve the supreme military interests of Kuwait.
As the Public Prosecution undertakes its jurisdiction to protect the security and sovereignty of Kuwait, it affirms that the security of the State of Kuwait, the integrity of its lands, and its supreme interests are not a subject for bargaining or complacency, but rather are a national, legal and international commitment that the state safeguards with its agencies, and is guarded by the law with its authority. It also affirms that the hand of justice will remain in place in the face of every action that targets the state’s entity, violates the sanctity of its borders, or threatens its security, stability, and supreme sovereign interests.
