He says: "At that moment, I felt like the world had stopped… My entire body shivered, and my eyes filled with tears. I could not believe that I would be one of the guests of the Most Merciful, and that God had chosen me for this blessed journey.” Even his mother, as he recounts, did not believe the news at first, and kept asking him to re-read the letter until she was sure of it for herself, so the moments of astonishment turned into overwhelming joy that spread throughout the entire family.

Khaldoun believes that what happened was not a coincidence, but rather the result of a sincere father’s invitation that came from the heart. sick, saying: "I feel that my father’s satisfaction and prayers were the reason, after God’s grace, for this great hosting.”
