المملكة: The King Salman Relief Center rehabilitates two veterinary centers in Hadhramaut

Recenter King Salman Relief and Humanitarian Works The day before yesterday, the rehabilitation of the Hadhramaut, within the project of sustainable agriculture and agricultural and fisheries empowerment in the Republic of Yemen.
The Assistant Undersecretary of Hadhramaut Governorate for Affairs of the Valley and Desert Directorates, M. Hisham Al-Saidi, in the humanitarian and relief efforts, expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by the King Salman Relief Center, for all the assistance provided to his country in general, especially Hadhramout Governorate.
He praised the Center’s efforts to support livestock through the rehabilitation of veterinary centers, which will contribute – God willing – to providing animal health services with better efficiency, which will be reflected in the development of livestock and the reduction of livestock deaths, in addition to the rapid response to diseases and epidemics that destroy wealth.
Supporting the resilience of farmers and fishermen
The project aims to support the resilience of farmers and fishermen in the governorates of Ma’rib, Hadhramaut, Al-Mahra, Shabwa, and Socotra, to contribute to food production for local markets through several interventions, namely: providing agricultural inputs such as seeds, equipment, safety tools, fishing boats, veterinary bags, and greenhouses, and training on good agricultural and fishery practices.
In addition to supporting irrigation by raising water from wells, and establishing drip irrigation networks, Water transportation networks, building agricultural assets by reclaiming lands for farmers affected by floods, rehabilitating markets and veterinary centers, supporting animal husbandry through distributing goats and beehives, and providing training on the best practices of beekeeping and livestock, benefiting 3,000 individuals directly and 21,000 individuals indirectly.
Humanitarian and development projects in Yemen
This comes within the framework of the humanitarian and development projects provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through its humanitarian arm King Salman Relief Center, to support livelihoods and improve basic services in various Yemeni governorates.
