A panel discussion at the Warsaw Book Fair stresses the importance of cultural dialogue to confront digital challenges

Warsaw, 2 June / WAM / Trends Global, in cooperation with the Trends Youth Council, organized a youth discussion panel entitled “Industry of Tomorrow… Youth Voices and Global Influence”, within the activities of the Warsaw International Book Fair 2026, in the main hall of the Trends Pavilion, with the participation of an elite group of young pioneers and researchers from Poland and “Trends”.
The participants discussed issues of artificial intelligence, the impact of social media, and digital polarization, in addition to the rapid international changes and their repercussions on the younger generations.
The participants agreed on the importance of consciously dealing with digital transformations and artificial intelligence, as they are among the issues that most influence the present and future of young people.
They emphasized that digital polarization has become one of the most prominent challenges facing young people globally, noting that the responsible use of these platforms and overcoming information bubbles represents a shared responsibility that requires critical awareness and advanced cognitive skills.
They also stressed that making the best use of artificial intelligence requires comprehensive cognitive and ethical training that keeps pace with rapid developments and ensures its responsible use.
They stressed that intercultural dialogue is no longer an intellectual luxury, but rather a strategic necessity in a world where challenges are intertwined and interests intersect, pointing out that such meetings contribute to correcting stereotypes, enhancing mutual understanding, and building bridges of communication between peoples, especially among young people.
The participants unanimously agreed on the importance of going beyond the traditional view that limits the role of youth to being leaders of the future, and dealing with them as active partners in the present, capable of contributing to policy formulation and creating solutions to current challenges, reviewing practical models and experiences from research, pioneering and community institutions in the two countries.
They expressed their aspiration to transform these meetings from seasonal events into sustainable cooperation frameworks that bring together research centers and youth institutions from various countries.
