The Brazilian national team is capable of achieving the 2026 World Cup title for the sixth time

Al-Wasl and the national team player, Fabio Lima, confirmed that he had hoped for the “White” to participate in the 2026 World Cup, indicating that simple details prevented the team from appearing in the global event, while he revealed that he would support the Brazilian national team in the World Cup, hoping that the “Seleção” would achieve the title for the sixth time in its history.
Fabio Lima told Emirates Al-Youm that the next edition of the World Cup is expected to witness strong competition, stressing the difficulty of predicting the identity of the teams that will win the title.
He talked about the national team not qualifying for the World Cup, and said: “We had a very great opportunity to qualify for the World Cup, and we only needed one goal in order to reserve our place in the tournament, and of course we felt great sadness for not participating in this global event, whether for me on a personal level or for the players, fans, and everyone who belongs to Emirates football.”
He added: “The World Cup is the largest tournament in the world, and it includes the best players and strongest teams ever. It is an exceptional competition that any player aspires to participate in. Therefore, it was painful for the UAE national team not to be present among the participating teams.”
As for the team he will support in the tournament, he said: “I hope that the Brazilian team is able to reach the furthest possible point in the tournament and succeed in competing for the title, because Brazil always remains one of the most prominent candidates in any edition of the World Cup.”
He continued: “I hope that Brazil will be able to win the championship this time, because the Brazilian team has not won the World Cup for a long time, and I believe that its fans deserve to see their team return to the podium again.”
Regarding the Italian coach, Carlo Ancelotti, calling the star Neymar Jr. to the final team roster participating in the World Cup, he said: “Neymar, for me, is one of the most important players in the history of Brazilian football in recent years, and I see him as the best Brazilian player in the last 15 years because of his exceptional technical capabilities and great ability to make a difference on the field.”
He added: “Neymar is an amazing player and has a very high technical quality. He has given a lot to the Brazilian national team throughout his career, and therefore his presence in any major tournament gives the team an important addition, both from a technical and moral standpoint.”
He continued his speech, saying: “It is true that Neymar suffered during the past two years from some injuries that affected his continuity, but it is difficult to ignore a player who has such great value and long experience in international tournaments.”
He stressed that “players who have talent and potential like Neymar cannot be easily dispensed with, because they are able to change the course of matches at any moment thanks to their great skills and experience.”
He continued: “I hope that Neymar will be present in the tournament and perform at his best, because his presence gives the Brazilian team additional strength, and I hope that he will contribute to leading Brazil towards winning the cup and making Brazilian fans around the world happy.”
Fabio Lima said that the Brazilian national team’s roster includes the best players who performed well this season, explaining: “I believe that the Brazilian national team’s technical staff has chosen the best elements available to participate in the World Cup, and will work to prepare the team in the best possible way in order to compete for the title.”
Regarding his expectations for the identity of the teams that will qualify for the semi-finals and compete for the title, he said: “It is very difficult to predict the identity of the teams that will reach the final rounds, because many of the teams possess distinctive elements and great technical capabilities, but I see that Brazil, France, Spain and England have the elements that may help them reach the semi-finals.”
He concluded: “There are many strong teams in the next edition, and the levels have become very close between the competitors, so the path to the title will not be easy for any team, regardless of its capabilities or history.”
Fabio Lima:
. Neymar’s return gives the Seleção a strong morale boost.
. The path to the title will not be easy for any team.
