Dubai Police participates in the Dubai Games and Digital Sports Festival 2026
DUBAI, 4 JUNE / WAM / The Dubai Police General Command is participating in the activities of the Dubai Digital Games and Sports Festival 2026, which begins tomorrow at the Dubai World Trade Center and continues until June 7, as part of its efforts to enhance digital awareness among various segments of society, especially young people interested in electronic games.
Dubai Police, represented by the General Department of Training and in cooperation with the General Department of Community Happiness, participates through awareness programs and activities aimed at promoting the safe use of digital technologies and raising awareness of the dangers of communicating with unknown people via gaming platforms and chat rooms, in addition to warning against unsafe electronic financial transactions and not sharing personal or banking data in order to preserve privacy and avoid crimes of fraud and electronic extortion.
During the festival, Dubai Police will also showcase a number of specialized and awareness-raising initiatives, and allocate a screen to display awareness messages on the electronic crime reporting platform “e-Crime”, which supports its efforts to enhance digital security and consolidate the quality of life in society.
Participation includes organizing e-sports tournaments and events, in addition to interactive areas for games and challenges to simulate car racing, in addition to the participation of the Dubai Police e-sports team in a number of competitions and activities accompanying the festival.
It also participates in the “Future Makers of Digital Games” summit, held on the sidelines of the festival, where it showcases a number of its specialized initiatives, while First Lieutenant Rashid Al Awar, a game programmer, gives a lecture that addresses the professional opportunities available in the electronic games industry sector and the career paths and specializations associated with this growing sector.
